Three hinterland barangays separated by creeks will soon be connected easily thru a new bridge project funded under the 20% development fund for the year 2014.
The City Engineers Office is now on process of completing the needed estimates and design for a double barrel box culvert bridge to replace the existing spell way connecting barangay Gotocan Daku and Sangay Diot going to Sangay Daku.
During the project ground breaking Mayor Reynaldo O. Parojinog Sr., said funds for this bridge is taken from the City’s 20% development fund for the year.
He added, that projects under the 20% development fund for this year are due for bidding.
“The construction of this bridge is considered very essential after numerous complaints from the barangay people that they are always stranded in this spell way during rainy seasons due to big flood”, Mayor Parojinog said.
Aside from the complaints of the risk post by flooding of the river during rainy seasons, the spell way is also dangerous to motorists and other vehicles during night time because is it a blind curve that has already caused several vehicular accident.
